November is bringing plenty of opportunities to get out, enjoy the beautiful South Florida weather, and connect with the Weston community! From family-friendly entertainment and outdoor movies to live music under the stars, the City of Weston has several exciting events planned for residents and visitors.
The fun includes a special Veterans Day celebration, children's entertainment, an outdoor movie night, international cinema, and a free concert featuring a lively mix of music. Whether you're planning a family outing, a date night, or simply looking for something fun to do close to home, there's something worth adding to your calendar.
Here's a look at what's happening in Weston this November!
Weston will begin the weekend with a meaningful celebration honoring those who have served our country.
The 12th Annual Veterans Day Salute, hosted by the YMCA of South Florida in partnership with the City of Weston, will take place Friday, November 6, from 8:30 to 11 a.m. at the Bonaventure Town Center Club, located at 16690 Saddle Club Road.
This special breakfast brings veterans and community leaders together in recognition of their service and sacrifice. This year's keynote speaker is Captain Charlie Plumb, a former Navy fighter pilot who spent nearly six years as a prisoner of war during the Vietnam War.
The event is free for veterans, although advance registration is required. Registration has reached capacity for this year's celebration.

Saturday, November 7, offers two opportunities for families to enjoy entertainment at Weston Regional Park, located at 20200 Saddle Club Road.
The afternoon begins at the Weston Community Center with a performance by Marci Poppins The Explorer. Children can enjoy an entertaining show filled with laughter, magic, puppets, and plenty of surprises.
Two free performances are scheduled:
Children must be accompanied by an adult. It's a wonderful opportunity for families with younger children to enjoy an afternoon of entertainment without spending a dime.
Later that evening, families can return to Weston Regional Park for a movie under the stars!
The City of Weston is scheduled to present Toy Story 5 on a giant inflatable screen at the Regional Park Event Stage. The movie begins promptly at 7:30 p.m., and admission is free.
Bring your lawn chairs, blankets, and favorite snacks, and settle in for a relaxing evening outdoors. Coolers are welcome, but alcohol is prohibited, and dogs are not permitted at Regional Park.
Arriving early is recommended so you can find a comfortable viewing spot before the movie begins.
For additional information, visit the City of Weston's Special Events Calendar. Movie selections are subject to change.
Looking for something different for date night or an evening with friends? The Weston Foreign Film Series offers an opportunity to experience stories and cultures from around the world.
On Monday, November 9, the series presents Calle Malaga, a Spanish-language film with English subtitles. The story follows an older woman determined to remain in her longtime home while navigating family relationships, change, and unexpected new beginnings.
The screening takes place at AMC Weston 8, located at 1338 SW 160th Avenue in Sunrise, with showtimes at 4:45 and 7:30 p.m.
Individual tickets are $10 at the door, subject to availability. Movie enthusiasts can also purchase a $48 series pass covering six films, offering savings compared with purchasing individual tickets for every screening.
